… I am 82 years old\u2026 Come from a Southern heritage and I am proud of it\u2026\u00a0 The slogan for my site, www.bigrebsworld@gmail.com, is “Southern Pride NOT Hatred”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>My family, the Gray’s, Sweet’s, Catron’s and Harmon’s settled in the Appalations (Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee) in the early 1700’s… My great great grandfather (John Tevis Gray) served in the 37th<\/sup> Virginia (the Stonewall Brigade)… The Sweet’s (Alexander, Moses and Thomas) served in the Virginia Militia during the years of the American Revolution… They were farmers, NOT slave owners. Over my working years I spent about 15 in the newspaper and publishing business\u2026 I have been a Chamber of Commerce Manager, Chief Administrative Assistant to California Assemblyman Marty G. Martinez\u2026 Served on two Montebello City Commissions including several years on the 51st<\/sup> Assembly Crime Commission\u2026 I have been a reserve police officer as well as a reserve fireman both in the city and county where I lived\u2026 I am a Conservative\/ Libertarian… I believe in less government and more individual responsibility\u2026 One of my favorite sayings is \u201cyour rights begin and end at my nose and toes\u201d<\/span>\u2026<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0I am not afraid to speak my mind or voice my point of view\u2026<\/h3>\n
